Munich, beer gardens, gorgeous Alps and Alpine meadows in Bavaria

Updated: Dec 22, 2023

My journey to Munich was filled with the splendor of chestnuts, wonderful weather, and, of course, the majestic Alps!

The main purpose of my visit to Munich was simple - to explore the Alps, capture their beauty on canvas, and, of course, savor authentic German beer!

But, first and foremost, it was important to start with painting before indulging in the pleasures of the trip. A jest, perhaps, but nature in these places was a source of inspiration throughout my journey.

Mountain meadows adorned with yellow flowers against the backdrop of towering peaks, delightful sunny weather casting a gentle glow over everything - these were ideal conditions for creativity. The Alps were just an hour's drive from Munich, allowing me to revel in their magnificence and spend time in the beautiful city of Munich and its surroundings.

The English Garden, a vast park with a real river and even waves where surfers practice, was another amazing spot in Munich.

The Eisbach, a man-made stream in the garden, is famous for its standing wave, attracting avid surfers. Watching surfers ride the wave amid the tranquil greenery adds a touch of unexpected excitement to the garden experience.

Sitting under the trees and gazing on the flowing water. What can be better in a sunny day? Of course also paint!

And, of course, the beer gardens were a true delight! Bavarian beer, meat, fish, and the fresh air created an atmosphere of coziness and an authentic German gastronomic experience.

Initially hesitant to visit the beer gardens due to the crowds, I discovered that they were so extensive that there was room for everyone. In the end, every moment in Munich was filled with inspiration and the joy of experiencing the beauty of nature and the culture of this wonderful city.

Embracing Munich's renowned Biergarten culture, the Englischer Garten features delightful beer gardens where visitors can savor local brews and traditional Bavarian dishes beneath the shade of chestnut trees.

Goulash soup, dark beer, pretzels, famous white sausages are my favourites! In the beer gardens are also fresh baked fish for someone who doesn't eat pork. So everyone can join!
